The Silk Thread has put together a carefully curated selection of workshops in a variety of locations that emphasize Theresa's relaxed and creative techniques in the Fiber Arts. Textile Arts: Ecoprinting Workshops
Ecoprinting (Botanical printing) are some of the popular Ecoprint workshops taught by Theresa. She is an authority on Ecoprinting on Leather and offers everything from 1 day introductory courses to week long Maker's Workshops!
Participants can expect to learn Theresa's techniques that emphasize creativity, simplicity and craftmanship on silk, wool, leather and paper.
Her Workshop drop down menu on her website currently lists the many areas around the US were she will be teaching live. New upcoming virtual workshops are also lined up starting with "Ecoprinting in Color" through Silk Painters International on Feb 8, 2025!
This ONLINE one day workshop is filling! Learn her techniques to create not just one Ecoprinted silk scarf with a color background of your choice (supplied in her kit) but multiple scarves at the same time! Printmaking: Exploring Hand cut Techniques
Art lovers who enjoy crafting will appreciate Theresa's printmaking/blockprinting workshops. The hands-on workshops guide participants through the carving their own designs on soft rubber block (no more hard linoleum!) to inking and printing on canvas tote bags and/or sheep leather!
Ecoprinting on Leather: Artistic Expression and what you can create!
The “Artistic Expression with Leather” workshops are Maker's workshops and invite participants to explore creativity after learning to ecoprint on leather. Currently Theresa's week long Ecoprint on Leather Maker's workshop at John C Campbell folk school in Brasstown, NC is full but there is a waitlist! Students last year created amazing pieces with their leather! They will also be
adding new projects and adding recycled leather pieces in their brainstorming ideas!
